Esilio Wines brings small-batch Mount Lofty Ranges wines, hosted tastings and vineyard dining together at its Uleybury estate, around 40 minutes north of Adelaide.
Esilio Wines Cellar Door, Tastings and Dining in Uleybury
Esilio Wines operates from a vineyard estate at 719 Uley Road, Uleybury, between the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley. The South Australian producer focuses on estate-grown, single-vineyard wines made from grapes sourced from its Mount Lofty Ranges vineyards.
Head winemaker Harry Mantzarapis oversees a small-batch range that includes Sangiovese, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sangiovese Rose. Esilio describes its approach as minimal intervention, supported by sustainable vineyard practices and oak ageing where appropriate.
Among its recent releases is the 2025 Tit for Tat Sangiovese Rose, which received a gold medal at the 2025 Australian Small Winemakers Show. Other wines in the current range include Against the Current Sauvignon Blanc, Tooth and Nail Sangiovese, Strange Land Shiraz and Into the Outer Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cellar door tastings and dining
Visitors can explore the range through four hosted tasting flights at the Esilio cellar door. Tit for Tat moves from sparkling through white wines to rose, while Against the Current combines whites and reds. Into the Outer includes sparkling, rose and reds, and Tooth and Nail concentrates on four red wines.
Tastings cost $15 per person. Walk-ins are accepted, although advance bookings are recommended, and the final tastings begin at 3pm. The cellar door is open from 11am to 4pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Esilio also has an on-site restaurant serving woodfired pizzas, seasonal dishes and share plates alongside its estate wines. The restaurant lists opening hours of 11am to 5pm from Friday to Sunday.
Families are welcome at the cellar door, as are well-behaved dogs on leads. On-site parking is available for cars and small buses.
Functions at Esilio Wines
The Uleybury property also hosts private and corporate functions, with indoor and outdoor areas available for occasions including birthdays, engagement parties, bridal and baby showers, long lunches, workshops and business events.
Depending on the format, Esilio can accommodate up to 120 seated guests or 150 people for a standing or cocktail-style function. Food and beverage options include woodfired pizzas, grazing tables and shared platters, with private and semi-private spaces available according to group size.
