Strahan Backpackers

Strahan Youth Hostel is a rustic hostel is set in rainforest, near a creek home to the unique Australian animal, the platypus.

The hostel is close to the town centre, transport, shops, tours, and Macquarie Harbour activities, with huts, dorms and private rooms available.

The site features a Barbecue, outdoor dining areas, kitchen, common room, internet/email, parking, television and a tranquil rainforest atmosphere.

The area has many features for visitors to enjoy, with art and craft galleries, souvenir shops, great dining within walking distance of the Backpackers, fishing charter, cruises to the famous Gordon River, scenic flights, unique journeys on a historic rack and pinion steam train, kayaking, 4WD tours, 40km Ocean Beach, jet boat rides and sand boarding at Henty Sand Dunes.
