What is WWE Weekend Takeover Perth?

WWE Weekend Takeover 2026 is a three-show run at RAC Arena beginning with Friday Night SmackDown on 11 December, followed by the major Wrestlepalooza: Perth Premium Live Event on Saturday 12 December and Monday Night Raw on 14 December.

That distinction matters. SmackDown and Raw are WWE's regular weekly television programs rather than conventional non-televised touring events, while Wrestlepalooza is the weekend's standalone Premium Live Event.

Saturday night's Wrestlepalooza: Perth is the centrepiece of the weekend and the only Premium Live Event of the three shows.

No matches or participating WWE Superstars have yet been officially announced for the 2026 card. That means claims about particular wrestlers appearing in Perth should be treated cautiously until WWE begins confirming matches closer to the event.

The first modern WWE Wrestlepalooza, held in September 2025, gives a much clearer indication of what the name now represents.

That show featured five matches, including an Undisputed WWE Championship defence by Cody Rhodes against Drew McIntyre and a match to determine the Women's World Champion between IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer. Brock Lesnar faced John Cena, CM Punk and AJ Lee teamed against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, while Bron Breakker and Australian wrestler Bronson Reed faced The Usos.

It was therefore structured as a compact major-event card rather than an oversized house show, combining championship matches with several established WWE rivalries.

After a Sunday break, WWE returns to RAC Arena on Monday 14 December for Monday Night Raw.

Raw is WWE's other major weekly television program and will effectively serve as the Wrestlepalooza aftermath show. Premium Live Event results frequently determine new championship challengers, rivalries and storyline directions on the next edition of WWE television.

That makes the Monday show materially different from simply seeing another night of wrestling. Depending on what happens at Wrestlepalooza, Raw could feature newly crowned champions, rematches, confrontations or the beginning of storylines leading into WWE's next major event.
